I Embark on This Journey
I have been an on again off again type of tech learner, I have goals and ambitions like the rest, but then life comes around and smacks me down. This is me getting back up, this is me not going quietly into the abyss. This is me fighting back against physical and mental illness/disability...
My relationship with coding can be summarized like this. I try hard to learn a language, then feel really brain fried, refresh after a day or two then try again, make some progress but feel bogged down in the grammar of code language, eventually move to practical half finished tutorials or projects then fail miserably on some unrelated issue like version incompatibility or incomplete directions and misleading partial statements skipped steps, or partial understanding on my part, and no one to really ask for help because irl I dont know tech people so I continue to go at it alone.
That was years ago, and I am somewhat more comfortable now and "code" is starting to make a lot more sense to me now. I feel I need a better understanding in general, and I believe I am on the right track here with FCC.
I have experience trying to learn python with Code Combat (link to my YouTube vid on it), and I have done a bunch of Unity game tutorials but my understanding of proper structures and patters / syntax is still lacking full context / understanding.
My goals with this blog are to hopefully get good enough with coding that I can get a job doing that, and to feel good that I know my stuff.
We all have troubles, but this blog isn't about that, because I promised myself I would do this right and stay organized, so this blog is my attempt to document me going through free code camp .org courses
If you find yourself inspired and wish to partake in the free courses, then do so here.
So say we all.
